Civita di Bagnoregio, Italy - July 12, 2103

3 buses, 1 train and about 5 hours (including about 40 minutes of hiking) brought us to Civita di Bagnoregio.  All I can say is unbelievable!  This is definitely the highlight of our trip so far in terms.  The pictures below say it all.  We arrived in Bagnoregio (a different town) about 1:30 pm and had to hike about 30 minutes from one side of town to the other to get to the base of Civita di Bagnoregio.  Then it was a 10 minute hike up (look at the pictures) to the town.  We arrived with our packs at our B&B and Restaurant and Franco Sala (the owner) took one look at us, told us to sit down and brought water and wine on the house.  We were one collective sweaty mess (did I mention 30C).  The town is small and we walked every street within an hour, but we wandered for more as this town is really a throwback to medieval times.  We had dinner at our B&B and retired for the evening with a view of the main square.  Probably the less said the better - have a look at the pictures ...
